What is Pilates?

A physical fitness regimen orignated by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century.  He considered his method the art of "controlled" movement which, when practiced consistently, improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body.

Like yoga, it also emphasizes alignment and breathing and allows for improved coordination and balance.

For Kelly, its been a valuable component of her yoga practice and understanding of the way in which the body is designed to move.

 

Pilates with Kelly

Kelly teaches public and private classes at several locations in Philadelphia and Delaware.

She also offers private and group lessons in her home studio equipped with three reformers (pictured above), Peak Pilates tower and chair .
